my beloved auntie juju took me on a trip to san francisco & boy, was i in awe! i couldn't get enough of the style that city had, i kept saying it was my pilgrimage to mecca. i saw the oscar de la renta retrospective & was moved to tears, i talked with my newfound fashion icon in a little vintage shop, i climbed on rocky coves. the whole trip was like living in a daydream.

 i asked my auntie to take some pictures of me wearing these pants for my store & she was all over it! climbing on things & laying on the ground, getting creative with all the angles! she even escorted me to different locations around town for different scenery. eventually, she even told me to take my shirt off! it was quite the afternoon! my aunt has always been an awesome photographer, i made a post on this blog four years ago sharing some of her old photos from the 90's, check it out here! i'm sure nobody hardly noticed, but i've always been self conscious about the fact that my nose turns bright red when it's even the least bit chilly outside. back in school kids would tease & call me rudolph. i tried to edit it out, but it was too vibrant of a red to just tone out. so i guess i should just accept my red nose as it is, maybe like a trademark or something.

my auntie also took these photos our last morning in san fran. we escaped to this little beach my aunt had stumbled upon before, listening to the honeyroot station on pandora & freshly caffeinated with overpriced local coffee. this was the maiden voyage of the feminist as fuck crop tops, hot off the press, picked them up the day before i left. i love seeing the reactions i get wearing this top, i just feel empowered & a bit mischievous. only a limited run of these were made with just a few pieces left in each size S-XL. get yours before they're gone!

GONE, SO LONG

can you guys tell this wasn't really a photoshoot, but really just me napping ocean side. i've had worse mornings ;) my aunt took these at her top secret cliff beach location on our last morning in san francisco. it was complete & utter bliss. i can't even put into words the feeling of peace & clarity one feels taking a deep breath of cool morning coastal air. leave me here forever, to die happy. let the grass & earth overcome me, i'll just be here.

i know i mentioned it a bit in the cherry bomb collection post, but i've been really inspired by japanese boro lately, just the idea of patching together all of your rags, particularly denim.  i love the way it looks & i also get really excited any time i get to recycle materials (seriously). these jeans are one of a kind, so nab them now on rebellelion!

FRIES WITH THAT

it's like i hang out in los angeles for one week & all of a sudden i've got all of this attitude. grabbed some in-n-out with anatalia then wandered into a laundromat. we were barely there for ten minutes before we got kicked out, figures. i nearly flashed half the place in this leotard that i was unaware was as revealing as it was, but so it goes. no shame in my game. i've had this plaid skirt for way too long, i know i posted an outfit set wearing it on this blog at least four years ago. i know four years isn't that long, but for a gal who cycles through clothing like i do this thing is a damn antique. also, that was one hell of a burger. all photos taken by the wonderfully talented anatalia.

playing around in abandoned lots, always full of attitude, of course. i actually intended these rebellelion overalls to be for a guy, but hell they look cute on me too. they can look cute on you too because they will be for sale with the fresh site relaunch for the new year in just a few weeks. the rainbow colorado socks were a gift from my mom & these amazing unif platforms were a gift from anatalia, bless her, i never want to take them off! also, all of these photos were taken by that lovely babe as well, she did my make-up too. she's a gem of many trades & she's taught me so much about photography over the years. ignore the grain, we were losing light fast, but it just adds to overall aesthetic, right?

it's been awhile since i've used this blog as a personal style blog since i launched the rebellelion website. however, i decided to start fashion blogging again for the sake of personal documentation because duh, i love fashion. & because of this love i've developed a bit of a hoarding "problem" when it comes to clothing. i don't consider this a "problem" more as a dream come true to have an overflowing closet, but i must get rid of the old to collect the new. i cherish each piece so dearly, so the best solution is to find my clothing chic new owners through rebellelion, since it's a proven fact i have the cutest most wonderful customers in the world. i hate that word, customers (ick). i'm just calling ya'll my friends who are supporting me! (thank you, i love you).

anyways, first piece out of my closet are these really awesome high-waisted vintage leather pants. they're 100% real leather, which honestly i don't support. but somebody gave them to me years ago & they were thrifted, so might as well recycle & celebrate the beauty, because these are one fine pair of pants! straight leg trouser cut, you'll look fancy as fuck. this shawl from my grandma has me feeling like a true aunthentic cowgirl with my bolo tie to seal the deal. also, these amazing boots were sitting in my friend arianna's closet & i was afraid to ask to borrow them because they're SO cute & you just can't borrow your friend's cutest thing, you know? but she saw me eyeing them & just fucking gave them to me!! they have a really high platform heel & she said she just never wore them! i could have died right there, she's a gem.

no longer living in denver but way out in east aurora, so close to the airport that i hear airplanes constantly & it's weirdly comforting. embracing life on the prairie & loving it, honestly. wanted to edit these photos to look like an old western film, embracing those colorado roots. also, my dog blu is the cutest happiest lil' pup. welp, that's all folks. these pants are for sale, so click this button below & check them out!

HEARTLESS IN A FEW WAYS

I admit this is an excessive amount of photos for a single outfit post but I had a lot of different ones so why not share them all. I took my cat aside for her daily recess because she gets extremely stir crazy & it was one of the warmest days it has been in awhile, so I was enjoying my time outside. I'm working on putting together a funky modern pin-up shoot for the magazine I work for, so that was the inspiration behind the outfit. I was feeling flirty & playful, sweet with a sharp edge. I later changed into warmer clothes but brought the kick-ass attitude along with me as I headed to downtown Denver later to take street style photos.

The entire outfit is second-hand. I found the sweater stuck in a tree walking home one day (seriously) & a few pieces are from my beautiful wonderful friend, Kelly, who is constantly just giving me the coolest clothes for no reason at all except that she is the sweetest soul ever. The rest of the outfit is pretty much thrifted.
