Early morning I grabbed breakfast with my sister and it was the perfect start to my day. She's incredible and the person I most enjoy spending time with, she just gets me, you know? It's that whole sister thing, we're connected on a whole different level. Then I headed over to the photography studio for a full day's work including three photoshoots back to back, whereas I usually have about one per week! Once I got off work I headed over to see my friends Jack & Jesse. They just moved into their first home so I stopped by to celebrate and help them unpack. It was another simple, yet absolutely wonderful, day.

I really dig the natural lighting/shadows in this picture. I also decided to pose with one of my old paintings I did on a bulletin board. I'm getting rid of all my old art and it's all just stacked in the garage so I thought I might as well pull one out for the photos. The blazer was a gift when I was a Graphic Design intern last winter, and I nearly got rid of it a few weeks ago but I'm glad I didn't because I've been wearing it so often, it's so comfy! The vintage leotard is a staple in my wardrobe because it looks so chic no matter what it's paired with and I don't have to worry about it becoming untucked! The vintage tennis skirt was a piece of vintage I picked up for the store but I just couldn't resist trying it on. It's so simple and that's why I love it, it pairs with a polished look effortlessly while still having a bit of quirk since it's an athletic skirt. The boots are one of my all time favorite pieces in my closet, I love how slouchy and clunky they are yet they still have a heel- my perfect shoe! These babies are so worn in and I already know I'm going to wear the shit out of them this fall. Speaking of fall, can you tell how ready I am for cold weather!? Summer can end already.
