AND IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU CAN'T GO ON

UNIF Cut-off Tank (Work Inside Out) / Forever 21 Maxi Skirt / Forever 21 Cross Necklace / UNIF Hellbounds / New York & Company Blazer

I work as a personal assistant for a gold/silver investment broker, if you want to make it sound serious. But really, I'd say my job title is more of a side kick. My boss is this crazy, sometimes intolerable, but mostly rad old rock n' roll soul. We mostly spend our days arguing which Led Zeppelin song is the best (I like Ramble On, he likes The Ocean, but we've agreed that In The Light is AMAZING), cruising around rich neighborhoods in his Porsche, playing with his pit bulls, and concocting new things we can cook on a panini press. Sometimes he can be ignorant as fuck, we got in a full out screaming match when he called Freddie Mercury a butt fucking fag. And a lot of people don't understand how I put up with the guy. I met him the very first day I was in California and it was just one of those things that was instant, we were irrevocably a part of each other's lives, some people just mesh and I would already take a bullet for that crazy ass man. When you're the character he is then your story is destined to be filled with unbelievable adventures, and I enjoy being part of the unexpected. And if he hadn't been 45 minutes late to work then I never would have been able to take these outfit pictures :)

The tank was my very first thing I owned from UNIF, my biggest inspiration, so I cherish the thing dearly. I turned it inside out because the tank has a cross on it and I was wearing a cross necklace, too many crosses! Plus, I kind of just wanted a plain outfit. The skirt is from Forever 21, but I picked it up at a thrift store. It was my first time wearing it and I don't know if I'll wear it again, a body con maxi skirt just looks a bit awkward, in my opinion. I'll stick to flowy long skirts for now on and perhaps I'll upcycle this one for Paradox. I got the UNIF Hellbounds at the Get Connected Fashion Festival in Downtown LA my first weekend in California, and I love stomping around town on top of these things. Some of the shoelace hooks popped off so I replaced them with spikes, and they look even more intimidating now. I caught a flight to Denver after work and when I was loading my shoes, cross necklace, and leather sleeved black jacket into the security bin the TSA looked me over and asked, "Do you believe in God?" An odd question, but I suppose I did look a little satanic in nearly all black and my gothic platform shoes. "Nope!"
